MiHoYo, the parent company of HoYoverse that also publishes Genshin Impact outside of China, has announced that the metaverse brand will get its own headquarters in Singapore. HoYoverse’s mission is to also create a “virtual world that integrates games, anime, and other diverse types of entertainment, which will provide players with a high level of freedom and immersion.”
The “global interactive entertainment” brand announced on its website that its headquarters office has officially opened in Singapore. The office will “house a dedicated team of professionals to provide high-quality entertainment services worldwide” across a 28,000-square-foot space.
The company already has offices in Montreal, Los Angeles, Tokyo, and Seoul. The Singapore office will “serve as a key hub for HoYoverse’s global distribution and operation efforts, working closely with other offices and providing technical support for game development.”
Co-founder of HoYoverse, Forrest Liu said the following about the brand’s expansion to Southeast Asia:
The company will also offer a flexible working model to “cultivate a global mindset and create an inspiring working environment.” A new HQ means that there will be lots of new jobs on the market, and HoYoverse plans to “add hundreds of jobs by the end of 2022.”
MiHoYo’s Montreal office opened at the end of last year and is the company’s first branch in North America.
Seeing as the company is rapidly expanding worldwide and now even has an office for its metaverse brand, it wouldn’t be too surprising if we see new anime, comics, and other media related to its games come out soon.
