In other news, Call of Duty has elaborated on Water Physics and Gameplay upgrades for Modern Warfare 2. Water is not seen as an obstacle anymore, but an environmental element that can be used for tactical advantages. Players are also able to understand if the enemy has used water passages to approach them as they would be dripping wet.
The developers have made this system in such a way that every object can appear wet. The looks and performance will undergo various effects until the object eventually dries, which also depends on its material. They also optimized the 120Hz mode to provide players with improved visuals and higher quality shadows and textures.
